In view of the outbreak of COVID-19 in Greece and around the world, and considering our responsibility towards our runners, volunteers and visitors, as well as the need to protect public health, the Organization Committee of Olympus Marathon has decided to postpone the 17th edition of Olympus Marathon, which was due to take place on the last weekend of June (26-28 June 2020), to a later and safer date.
The second weekend of September, i.e. 11-13 September 2020, has been selected as the new date for the 17th edition of Olympus Marathon. The main race, i.e. Olympus Marathon 44km, will take place on Saturday, 12 September 2020 (a detailed schedule of events will be published soon).
It will be possible to enter any of the races from now up to the middle of August (the exact closing date for entries will be announced soon). Runners who have already completed the registration process for any of the event's races, and who do not wish to participate in the 17th edition of Olympus Marathon on the new dates, should contact athletes.om@gmail.com or info@olympus-marathon.com to request a refund.
Thank you for your understanding. We hope that this crisis will end soon, and as harmlessly as possible. Please stay safe, be patient and let us all take the necessary steps to ensure that we can return to our beloved Mount Olympus in good health.
